NightShift Street Ministries is a multi-denominational Christian front-line street ministry that not
only serves a meal to the homeless every night, but invites them into a street church, shakes their
hand, and makes them feel welcome. People feel cared for and listened to, and as a result they begin
to see their lives anew and realize a sense of self-worth again.
NightShift is more than a soup-kitchen with a band-aid approach. Not only does it provide food and shelter for
people living on the streets it creates change by providing hope. Through NightShift, people find recovery programs,
half-way houses and often the strength to start again.
Cornerstone Church has been involved in Nightshift Street Ministries since 2004. Every Thursday night,
rain or shine or Christmas Day, we are out on the streets of Whalley serving up some food and some love.
As a result many on the street are coming to know Jesus, attending church and asking for baptism. It is
a blessing not only for those being served, but for those involved in serving. If you would like to be
involved in this ministry please contact Greg at 604 618-3461.
